Camel Trekking in the Sahara Desert


Experience Morocco with a camel trek through the dunes of Erg Chebbi Desert on this overnight trip through the Sahara. Try sand-boarding and drumming, then enjoy traditional tagine and sweet mint tea before camping under the stars in a Berber tent.

After a morning visit to the village of Merzouga, a walk discover the lifestyle of the locals, lunch, and relax beside a swimming pool. You can also go for an off-road trips into the desert before a camel ride..
All unnecessary luggage can be left in safe rooms at the hotel. Head into Morocco’s Sahara Desert on a camel and watch the sun set over the Erg Chebbi Dunes. This overnight tour offers spectacular views and a chance to experience the desert nomad lifestyle. Eat a traditional Moroccan tagine, take part in a drum circle, and sleep in an authentic Berber tent. See pink flamingoes at an oasis near Merzouga, and search for desert reptiles and mammals as you trek.

Day 1: Ride camels from Merzouga into a campfire in Erg Chebbi Dunes 

Ride your camel over the dunes and view the stunning desert scenery. Enjoy a traditional desert welcome in the Berber tent where you will spend the night. Take a sunset camel ride, try sand boarding, and in the evening, enjoy a Moroccan campfire dinner and drum circle before falling asleep under the stars. The camp consists of three comfortable Berber tents equipped with mattresses, linen, toilets, a restaurant, and a kitchen.

Day 2: Erg Chebbi Dunes to your Kasbah in Merzouga

In the morning, watch the spectacle of sunrise as it catches the dunes on the top of 820 feet, when the colour of the dunes combine with the play of shadows to make an awesome sight. After cup of tea, we ride the camels for a couple of hours (or less; it is up to you), to the Kasbah where you will have a hot shower and 5 stars breakfast waiting for you.
