[wc_accordion_section title=”Accommodation Categories in Morocco“]

Morocco offers the traveler an extremely appealing range of year-round accommodations, including trendy medina houses, world-class luxury hotels and beach resorts, desert and mountain kasbahs, and grand sultan palaces. Luxury options have increased considerably over recent years, but there are still plenty of mid- to lower-range accommodations as well. To simplify the choice, we classified our suggestions into two categories, relaying to our experience and after visiting each property, test food, check the comfort, the view…

STANDARD:
The standard hotels are either classified equivalently between 2 star or 3 stars . For the urban areas, this category are usually located in the the old quarters; In the countryside could be as a form of Kasbah, a guest houses or a Riad; This economic category, as its name suggests, is usually the cheapest, but offer an excellent level of comfort for the price. You can assume that the properties of this category feature basic services, including lodgement with a private bathrooms, restaurant, and mostly have swimming pool, sometimes  spa…etc

SUPERIOR:
This category, mostly classified between 4 and 5 stars. In the urban areas, the properties of this category are often located in the downtowns (city centers) offer an outstanding level of comfort and services, a high-end design and a wide selection of amenities and the presence of certain facilities — pool, a spa, a fitness room, a restaurant, elevator, and so on — more than for standards of service and luxury.

RIADS, DRS & GUESTHOUSES:

These are residential “houses”, with a distinct Moroccan architecture, that you can rent by room or as a whole. They range from simple homes to grand, deluxe palaces with Jacuzzis and plunge pools. What sets them apart from hotels is their distinct Moorish look that fully compliments the charm of a Morocco holiday. There is also the tranquility and personal service that you will be hard pressed to find in a hotel. Located in the narrow winding streets of the medina uncover a world of exotically sumptuous townhouses. They are small guesthouses with central courtyards and open lounges and magical bedrooms. [wc_accordion_section title=”What does board basis mean, and how does it relate to RO, SC, BB, HB, FB or AI ?“]

Board basis simply means the sort of dining arrangements that you have selected for your holiday. For example you may have selected a hotel which cooks all your meals for you and which are included in the price. Or, you may have selected an apartment with cooking facilities, which means you arrange your own meals. Board basis meanings and abbreviations are as follows:

Room Only (RO): means that no meals will be included in the price you have paid for your accommodation/holiday package.
Self Catering (SC): means that no meals are included in the cost of your accommodation/holiday package, but you will be provided with catering facilities in your accommodation to cook light meals.
Bed and Breakfast (BB): means that breakfast is included in the price you have paid for your accommodation/holiday package.
Half Board (HB): means that your breakfast and evening meal is included in the price you have paid for your accommodation/holiday package. In some cases you can choose to receive lunch instead of breakfast – the hotel will confirm this upon arrival.
Full Board (FB): means that breakfast, lunch and evening meals are included in the price you have paid for your accommodation/holiday package.
All Inclusive (AI): means all meals and locally produced drinks are included (until midnight, when a cash bar system may operate. This may vary depending on the accommodation).
